Biography

The French author and screenwriter Emmanuelle Fournier-Lorentz was born in Tours in 1989. She studied philosophy and photography before taking up writing. She is the author of novels, film scripts, and plays. Her debut novel Villa royale (Gallimard, 2022) was awarded the Prix Michel-Dentan and the Prix d’encouragement de la Fondation Del Duca. It paints the portrait of a depressed and unstable family that is united against the outside world but whose members are forever in search of something following the death of their father.
