Biography

Born in Luanda, Angola, in 2000, Israel Campos is an award-winning writer and journalist whose work has broadcast or published by BBC, the Voice of America, Al Jazeera, and The Wall Street Journal. He holds a BA in Journalism from City St George’s, University of London, and an MA in Communication from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Leeds. His debut novel, E o Céu Mudou de Cor (Kacimbo, 2023), and his forthcoming collection of short stories, Baloiço de Memória, explore memory, identity, and postcolonial Angolan society.
