Biography
The French writer and translator Jean-Philippe Rossignol was born in 1979. His literary criticism regularly appears in the Monde diplomatique. The author of two novels, Vie électrique (Gallimard, 2011) and Juan Fortuna (Christian Bourgois, 2015), he is currently preparing a book on the novelist and essayist Elio Vittorini. He has collaborated with Lucie Lamy on French translations of the German poetry of May Ayim, and with Ludivine Jehin on collections of verse by the German-Luxemburg theologian and writer Ulrike Bail, including Point invisible (Blancs volants, 2025).
