Jürgen Bauer

The Austrian writer and journalist Jürgen Bauer was born in 1981. He lives and works in Vienna. After studying theater, film and media at the University of Vienna and Hogeschool Utrecht in the Netherlands, he specialized in Jewish theater. His writing on theater, dance, and opera has appeared in a range of periodicals and international media such as the magazines Falter and malmoe, and the platform nachtkritik.de. He is the author of six novels, including his debut novel, Das Fenster zur Welt (2013), Ein gutter Mensch (2017), and most recently Styx (2024).
