Biography

The Italian translator and researcher Leonardo Masi was born in Florence in 1976. He earned a PhD in Modern Slavic Literatures from the University of Milan and is a professor and the director of the Italian Studies Department at Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University, Warsaw. His main research fields are the relationships between literature and music, progressive rock, Italian-Polish relations and translation practices. He has translated into Italian a number of the most important contemporary Polish authors and is currently working on an Italian version of a novel by the Polish writer Tomasz Różycki.
