Biography
The British writer, journalist and curator Lou Stoppard lives and works in London. She holds an MA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins College of Art. Her work often focuses on the ways art and culture are articulated in the dynamics and transformations of society. She has written for The Financial Times, Aperture, The New York Times and The New Yorker. She is also the author of several books, including Pools (Rizzoli, 2020), an exploration of pool iconography through the history of contemporary photography; and the catalogue-book Exteriors: Annie Ernaux and Photography (Mack, 2024). Her fiction has appeared in several collections, including Five Stories for Philip Guston (Printed Matter, 2024).
