Biography
Olga Bubich is an essayist, photographer and memory researcher. Her work is mainly concerned with the question of collective memory, especially in connection with Eastern Europe’s traumatic past. Her writing has appeared in a number of reviews, including Eurozine, Versopolis, Baltic Worlds, and Die Presse. In 2023 and 2024 she took part in the program created by the International Cities of Refuge Network (ICORN) and was an ICORN Fellow in Berlin. It was during this fellowship that she completed Memory Landscapes, a collection of thirteen essays on the photographs making up this multimedia project. It was published by DAAD/ICORN in 2025. She is the author of more than 300 texts and curator of eight exhibitions to date.
