Romeo Peña

The novelist and poet Romeo Peña was born in 1987 in the Philippines. He is a professor at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. His novel Single One Double Zero (Visprint, 2018) earned the Top 6 spot in the Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards, while his story “Grandson of Bayawak” (Philippines Graphic, 2022) was singled out for the Graphic Salute Award. He earned a Master’s in Filipino Creative Writing from the University of the Philippines Diliman. He is a recipient of grants from the Sumitomo Foundation, Japan, and The Japan Foundation, Manila, for his writing.
