Szilvia Molnar

The Hungarian-American author Szilvia Molnar was born in Budapest in 1984 and grew up in Sweden. She lives and writes in Austin, Texas. Her debut novel, The Nursery (Oneworld/Pantheon Books, 2023), was a New York Times Notable Book. It tells the story of the postpartum depression of a young mother who thinks she is going mad after the birth of her child. The novel immediately drew critical acclaim and has been translated and published in eleven countries. The author works as a foreign rights director for a New York-based literary agency.
